We were 8 people from my family and some friend going on a little trip for some winter fun yesterday to a place called "Budor" for some sledding fun.
This place is located about 90 km north of Oslo where the scenery goes from mostly flat and small hills to taller hills.
The weather was pretty nice for such a day. A bit snow early on, then some fog and no snow so that the slopes could be prepared a bit more.

Our vehicle for the day was the contraption above. I can't seem to find the proper English word for something like this but basically, you sat down on 40 kg's worth of steel with a steering wheel and down you go.
The ski lifts was designed to pull this thing up on the top of the hill with you on it so there was little walking involved, but man our bodies did take quite a lot of beating going down with turns, jumps and challenging y-crosses (two slopes)

I ended up in a pile of snow more than one time during our stay giving my stomach muscles a work out rarely experienced
After a couple of hours of doing this, it was nice to sit inside one of these (tee pee) for some grilled sausages, a little body warming whiskey (Canadian brand for the day) and pork chops:

After this, we engaged in a couple of hours of more fun before it closed at 5 pm. My last couple of trips downwards, i had to apply some brakes as it was going way too fast for me to control the vehicle as there were lots of people doing the same thing as we did and it ended up with a much harder slope making the vehicle go about 50 km/h at the fastest parts of the slope.
I came home about 8PM, ate two slices of pizza and then just feel asleep like a bag of sand.

I didn't bring a camera to the slope since it was snowing, but we're thinking about going again in a couple of weeks and i'll promise to bring a camera next time.
Jette didn't go since she was sick, but hopefully she will be able to go next time
