I am looking for a decent soundcard for obvious reasons Smiley

I haven't followed them much since i bought an Audigy 2 several years ago. Onboard is decent enough, but latencies are a bit high for recording.

I am a bit skeptical of Creative since they usually have poor drivers, and they're hard to come by a year after you buy a card, so what else is out there?

Win 7 support is a must too.

I found this review of an Asus Xonar sound card. I briefly read the review and I didn't see anything with Windows 7. He did test it with Win XP SP3 and Win Vista SP1.

I had a look for drivers from the Asus web site. They do have Windows 7 drivers available but they are in beta.

Dunno about beta drivers. I would assume you would need good quality sound.
