Crunching away. That image was from the last update. Got 32600 at the moment :)

I managed to get the E2180 up and a Celeron 2,6. The Celeron is going offline since it doesn't really produce that much on it's single core. Seems cache speed is everything in seti. My E8400 finishes a Work Unit (WU) in less than 2 hours.

I average around 2,500 a day now which would be 8th place of 1033 in the seti@home category for my old team (Ars Technica)

Xeons with large caches seems to be the fastest crunchers out there.

I am passing 90K WU's today it looks like. We are passing a bunch of people every day with the team passing 70K tomorrow it looks like.

I am 17th in daily production in Norway alone :) (about 3K credits a day).

Team Stats Link:

http://boincstats.com/stats/team_graph.php?pr=sah&id=135573

We're producing about 4500 credits a day which is extremely well for two people :D passing 500 teams a day and almost 5000 teams in the past week. For comparisons:

if Team H-kon.net was a country, we'd be in 94th place of 233 countries in daily production. Not that i believe those "below" is producing that much, but still :)

Team H-kon.net is  #760 of 52411 teams  in daily productions, just 4 points behind Team Canada :)  #1 is Team USA producing 1,3 million credits a day :)

Got a computer not doing much? Please join :)

Just OCed my CPU from 2.66 to 3.2GHz. Kept the ram at 800MHz.

Should give the compu some more points :)

Results of benchmarks (after OC):
3106 floating point MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU
6806 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU

With your current production H-kon.net could be in the top 20 teams in Norway.

H-kon are you still thinking of folding on your PS3?

Yup. i have setup an account on my PS3 so i am preparing to fold a bit on it.

Mystic and I, (mostly mystic) redid the entire 2nd floor with regards to gigabit cabling today so i am thinking it will be a folder during this week sometime :)

Too bad it doesn't do seti :D

Status update

Welcome Lordsnick and Christer to the team :)  Be sure to download and install the optimized client http://lunatics.kwsn.net/index.php?module=Downloads. It is quite a bit faster than the regular one which runs on everything. At this link, you can get the correct client for your CPU.

Some stats:

Looks like our team climbing like lunatic monkeys up the charts. We're currently the 456th best team based on the daily stats of the 13K teams producing any results (70K total teams).  To put it this way, we're  returning more than  98.37513% of all teams currently.

We're 40th best team in Norway, climbing fast. We should be top 10 in just a few months at this rate. We returned over 8K in units yesterday which is our new best and we are getting closer to HW.no every day in the dailies, but they still out-produce us.

"Immi" is the first team to beat though as they produce a bit more than us each day, but they're only 50K points ahead of us or so in the totals so a little race to beat this team would be excellent :)
I am going to try and get some more crunchers going as soon as i can :)

With the new members, our million mark has shifted from late November to August 29th as of this writing. With a bit more, we might even reach 2 million before new years.

Hardware.no is the team we are going to try to beat in the totals eventually. I am hoping to get a few more machines and upgrades in place later this spring. After upgrading, i might put in 7-8K a day if my calculations are correct which also involves OC'ing the hell out of my 2180 (2.0@3.0Ghz) The trick is just a CPU with enough cache for seti to fit inside. You will get them done in less than an hour if you do.

So welcome and start b0rg some machines :)

I am Pentium of Borg. Division is futile. You will be approximated.

Another status update :)

We are producing a bit less than i was hoping these days, but we average around 5K a day.

We are going to pass 200K units in less than 24 hours. We're just 11K units behind "Immi" and we have climbed to 31st place among the Norwegian teams. During next week, we will pass another 5 teams, including "Immi" which was my goal at least.

Another stat i just found out is that Team H-kon.net is the 72nd best team in March 2008. We climbed 17708 places in March.  Thats no small feat. Congrats to all :)

It looks like it is impossible for us to touch hw.no at the current rate. They are only producing 8K a day, but it is still 3K more than what we produce each day so for each day that pass, they are getting further and further away so a goal adjustment is in order until we can get more people joining.
2 million credits before new years eve.

Recruiting a few people would probably be our best choice. Got someone with spare cpu cycles.? Let them know about the project.

My current farm is the following.

Core 2 Duo E8400@3.0Ghz - My workhorse, producing two WU's in 1:24 hours.

E2180@2,7Ghz - Producing more than i thought it would
Core 2 Duo 2,4Ghz -
Pentium 4 Northwood at 1,6Ghz (defect motherboard) Spending 12 hours on each work unit, but at least it produces.
Core 2 Duo 2,13Ghz - Not much online as my GF turns it off all the time. Gonna try to keep it running.

I am also trying to get a few more older machines up and running.

Lets try to reach 2 million credits before new years eve!

That was fast. We're now in 27th place, passing 4 teams in the same day :D

We're also in 6th place in production pr day in Norway :D At the current rate we should be in the top 10 by August if my calculations are correct.

Just a few more machines and we are bound to pass 2 million credits by new years eve. Just hope the quads get a bit cheaper before i spring for one :)

Any way we can add a few more machines to the cause?

We gained another place, so we're at 26th in Norway at the moment.

In two weeks, we will take the 20th spot, but from then on it will get harder.  We're still the 6th best daily team on average in Norway so we are gaining fast.

After we have secured some places, its time to go international :)
