Two weeks? With what you're producing lately, it could be 6 days before we're in 5th. We have added over 100K in 2 days

I have some stability issue with two machines for some reason. I will take a look at those tonight. Both quads fail to overclock at all, and the linux box takes 19 hours for an astropulse unit to complete for some reason.

I have sold two machines though. The E8400 will be gone next week. The E5200 as well. Those will be replaced further down the road :)

hehe. It did take two weeks. We'll be in 4th in just another couple of weeks at this rate.

Two gone, one left.

Investments will be made during fall as there is a whole bunch of new CPUs coming out then.

We're finally 4th, just one more overtaking left in 171 days at the current rate.

I am not getting much work from BOINC though. Anyone else experience the same?

My comps ran out 3 days ago.. So, yeah :helpsmilie:

As my laptop at work went bust today, I'm waiting for a new one :) It'll be a Lenovo of some sort. Hoping for a X200 or W500. They're pretty good for boincing I think :)

To wrap this up. A lot of heavy hitters decided to go after us and we didn't stand a chance.

With some new hardware during next year, i'll start crunching a bit again. Just have a few running so that we get some contributions going.
We have passed 5 million, but we're in 6th place.

If christmas brings me some new hardware, i'll dedicate a few boxes

Without APv5 it didnt look much like a fight.. So I kind of gave up. Also, I only have one machine left.. None of the other hardware I have now can do much for crunching.

Still need the help. We're being passed in two weeks. Just got a quad going as my E8400 is unstable.

Doing about 4500 a day. If we could get around 10K a day, we'd stop the takeover and pass the one ahead of us.

Here is the relevant table. We're still in 6th place for now.

My home computer has started do have huge latency on CPU use. The CPU has below normal temperatures, but everything real-time like audio/video lags terribly. Checked out and updated to the latest drivers etc, but it seems maybe my motherboard is starting to go bust... I'm thinking of buying a new motherboard and an i7 CPU, but that will be later..

My pitiful quad is still working, but i am going for an upgrade later this year too :)

I think we'll see 12 cores this year.

AMD is there already :) Although.. Intels 8-core is more powerful - not only per core - but overall performance as well.. So we'll see :)

I barely use my computers these days, but some of them are still chugging along. We're still in 6th place, gaining on 5th place and we recently passed 7 million WU's total.

I am putting aside some floor space at work so that i can get some extra machines running, but i won't have anything up and running until mid January when i move some of my excess machines up there.
