Sorry for the delays here, just have a lot on my plate these days.  Have you tried playing the game on a different computer, and does it happen there also?

I have a feeling there is something else interfering with the game that does not show on your task manager.

Sorry about the delays. Summers in Norway are usually short and rainful, so when the sun finally came, i had to get to painting the house.

I have been trying to reproduce it on several machines but no luck.

spybot isn't an anti-virus program. Download the free AVG here:

Any idea about the specification the other computers you have tested it on has?

The behaviour is simply weird. How fast can you do other things on your computer while running the game?  I am starting to lean towards your graphics card. Do you know what kind it is? Have you tried to update the drivers for it?

well i was thinking towards my graphics card also, i asked one of my mates this mornign and he told me to run "dxdiag" it ran all the driver things ( i dont know about it) then i sent him the screenshot, he gave me the link the the intel site with all the right drivers on, i dowloaded the right one but it still didnt solve the issue.
As for the spec's on the other computers i do nt have a clue, but this doesnt seem to be common for the game at all.

Reading through this thread again I noticed you have a laptop.

i have a pre built model from Dell, the model is a Dell latitude D520 if that helps thankyou  ;D

I looked up the specifications and your laptop and basically they are.

Intel Celeron m cpu 430 @ 1.73GHz
504 MB of DDR2 RAM (system memory)
IntelĀ® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 (Up to 128MB shared with 256MB system memory or up to 224MB shared with 512MB system memory)
40, 60, 80 or 100GB Hard Drive

http://www.dell.com/downloads/emea/products/latit/Lat_SpecSheet_D520_Final.pdf

You RAM (system memory) may be 512 MB with 8 MB used for video. You posted 504 MB but they way I told you to find out how much ram you have the number shown would have already subtracted the RAM which is taken by the graphics card.

I don't know how big your hard drive is or if it is full or not. If you hard drive is less than 15% free then windows can be slow at doing things.

I think Elf is on to something here.  What kind of detail do you run the game in? High or Low details? Are you trying to play Runescape HD?

The game says it is requiring a Geforce 3 at high detail which has at least 64 mb of dedicated memory. The 8mb integrated graphics does not seem to be able to cope with the level of detail meaning the cpu (system) is working overtime.

Do you have access to a desktop computer?

To see how much room is on the hard drive.
Click Start then My computer.
Right click on your C drive and select properties.

A will be a pie graph displayed. The amount shown in pink is the amount of space that is free.

You can post the GB amounts for used and free space.

I have tried a lot of things to try to reproduce what you're seeing, and i can't.

I am leaning towards that your integrated graphics is the culprit. I don't have any GMA 950 devices here, but the successor X3100 that works fine. (though they have 2GB-4GB memory both).

You might try to add another stick of memory. Though it might not cure the problems, you'll benefit in all other areas as well, and memory is pretty cheap these days.

Hello everydody,

I'm new here and I'm looking for a solution for a problem I have with the computer of someone of my familly.

The things I've found so far would probably help solving our problem.
It seems that problem with overloaded System process is caused by the battery, Tzzket, you should try your computer pluging out the battery it work for the laptop I'm trying to fix (ACER ASPIRE 3000).

I've read that there is a microsoft hotfix that fixes this problem and allows you to plug back in the battery but I didn't find it yet.

Hope this would help (and someone would find the hotfix also).

See you.
