A day of gardening, without rain...that would be very nice! We have had so much rain lately
and the weeds are becoming larger than the flowers. This is not good!!!  Roll Eyes Maybe today I can
get in a couple hours between thunder showers. :-\

No showers today, actually  turned out to be a glorious day. Sunny,  Cool a few clouds here and there
just long enough to cool things off a bit. I actually was able to accomplish a lot outside.  Smiley

Not great here either. We almost had frost the other night. I am waiting for things to clear up a bit so that i can give the house another 3 coats of paint with antique white.

We need more rain. Our dam levels are rather low.

Well a month later, and I am still cutting the grass "between" showers  Sad

Really need a tall cool refreshing drink. The humidity is wicked.

next, it's off to the vet with our "elderly" dog. Poor thing has a few health problems
and I am sure the humidity does not help her at all. She is past 11 years and is showing signs of old age. :'(

It's busy busy busy over here these days with wedding plans, getting the house finished before we leave on vacation etc.  Our weather is great with 86+ F temperatures and the house just need 2 hours with painting today and we're finished.

Now i just need to finish the yard which has everything but grass growing so there goes a day with using a "dirt crawler" and i have to distribute 10 cubic meters of soil before putting down the grass seeds (readymade is $$$$), then get someone to build an entrace and a terrace in the back before i need to change a few terrace doors, check the insulation beneath the windows (8 of them, and the builders forgot to insulate there in 1994 ( I checked with infrared/thermocamera) as seen by our electric bill during winter) Then there is to order a truck with gravel for our driveway and get some granite stone that i am going to use as as a divider between what will be the lawn and the driveway.

And then there is the inside 2nd floor... plus finding out what i am going to do about work come Sept 1st. Our summer ends in late August so there isn't much time left to finish it.

The 9th of August, we're leaving for a much needed vacation to Thailand for three weeks - So hope someone can watch over this place while we're gone.

The good news is that when i get home, i plan on spending a significant amount of time on the forums again Smiley

Wow!!! and I thought I was busy  Tongue
You certainly need a good long holiday  Smiley
I am sure there will be someone around to help on the forum for you.
I can do very little with the "technical" help but I can sweep the floor
and throw out any trash, if necessary. lol

Congratulations clifton. Smiley

Wow H-kon, you are a busy bee. I thought my place needed some work but that's nothing compared to your house. My place needs the fences replaced, some extra lighting outside and some painting inside.

Well, we are 1 hour away from finishing the painting and a couple of hours away from distributing the 10 cubic meters of dirt around. We have shoveled about 80 wheelbarrows worth of dirt around so my back is pretty sore. We finished up in the front today in record heat (35/95F 80% humidity) Warmest day since 1995. Another such day will be here in 6 hours (its 3 AM now) so we expect to finish most of the hardest work tomorrow. I am pink like a pig though. Ow! Aloe vera lotion has never been more needed Grin

Our second floor is a project for the winter which i forgot to mention. I wrote it so that it seemed like i was trying to get it done before the 7th of August, which was my mistake :p  Its just two coats of paint and putting some laminate floors down which is just a weeks worth of work, but who knows. Depending on what kind of job and income i get come Sept, it might be delayed. I am filing for unemployment tomorrow so that i at least can pay for next months mortgage.

This is the last we are doing for a while though except for some new electric wiring that i am not touching Smiley Got a certified friend that is doing it for a night out during fall.

Next year is all about relaxation, but you never know us.... Could be a new project for all i know hehe.

Much rain here.  The crops here need two weeks of sunshine fast before winter sets in, otherwise it's a loss.

Last night, we had 4.5 Celsius (39F?) so it wont be long now before we'll have to scrape our windshields in the morning.

We had a verywet summer, but the last 10 days or so have been very nice. Hope it continues for some time yet.
I am certainly not ready for winter. The memories of the last one is far too fresh. we were literally running out of places to pile the snow. Roll Eyes

Spring in October...I could go for that. Grin

Mystic, you should visit "the great white north".
Some peoples definition of Canada....9 months of winter and 3 months of bad skiing. ;D

hehe. I've used my lawn mower once this year. I tore up the entire yard to make a new lawn in early August. It's only 4cm high Grin

H-Kon and Elf, I am making you both a good ol' Canadian hot toddy.
A mug of boiling water, a little sugar and a good large splash of Canadian
whiskey.  ;D
Feel better soon.  Smiley

Cheers clifton. Smiley I am feeling better now. Managed to mow my front lawn before the rain came. About 35% of lawn is short.

H-Kon, is your new lawn fake or does it grow?

It's real grass Smiley We just haven't had the weather for it to grow. More or less rain and cold weather all the time except for this past few days, but its close to freezing at night so the grass won't grow until next year.
Rain forecasted tomorrow. Great!

Cheers clifton Smiley I am out of Canadian Whiskey too :-/
