Decided to create this thread. If you see anything that is not working, post here.  Comments and other things, respond here as well.

Today: "smf_sessions sessions seems to have crashed"   when accessing H-kon.net/Index.php Status: FIXED

Putting this here. Working on fixing up the logo a bit. Don't worry if the site looks weird now and then, it's just me Smiley

Then there is the blog/frontpage'ish thing i am working on which is halfway there i think.

URL comes later Smiley

Installed a new theme. I am not sure if you guys like this one or not, but it is a bit easier on the eyes. The logo is new as well.

One of the reasons for the switch is that the old one wasn't customizable at all, and i do have some things in store for this little forum, some additions so that people will like it here.

Hope you like it :-)

Was a bit of a surprise when I first saw it, but blue is my favourite color,
so for sure I like the colors. Theme works for me as well. Smiley

I was a bit surprised when I went came here.
Blue is also my favourite colour, but I don't like light blue.
I like the logo.

Problem: The thread titles and url links are a bit hard to see being blue text on blue background.

I not sure if it's because I have a old CRT monitor.

It's a light grey now. A little of the point of doing this is that it is going to be easier on the eyes, but if it's not readable, there is no point.

I'll go through the rest of the .css files later on and adjust things here and there. Let me know if there is something you want me to change here and there.

It's a lot easier to see now.

Could you the blue text on blue background before with a LCD monitor? I could but not very well. The blue text tended to blend into the background.

Nice new "look" and a nice change I must say. I will try and post a little more often once things get settled here a little bit (home renovations).

P.s. We need the "classic" smileys brought back  Tongue  ;D

The forum looks great, but can we hang a wreath or something on the front page for Christmas? Or maybe just some snowflakes?  Gotta love Christmas!!!  ;D

I noticed the snowflakes only appear on the front and stats page. Is that normal?

Well, i could place the snowflakes inside the other boards too if you'd like that?

It's in the reply template as well.

I'll get to it later tonight :-)

You don't have to make it snow on every page (if thats the effect you are working on). Having it snow where it's snowing now is good. Smiley

Haakon, I beieve the script you are running for the snowflakes is causing considerable issues with Internet Explorer. See the link below to view a screen shot.

Thanks

I broke it twice since smf does not seem to remember the undo trick built into firefox when editing files.

The snow is back, and the site is valid.

I will do some testing locally here to see what i can do to add it to every part.

Sorry for the weird problems. I had no idea that IE couldn't load the page.

Then there is new years..... Grin

Edit: It's 04:00 AM. This is the result. People (including me) wants christmas, and here it is. I'll return to the blue theme after new years Smiley

Glad everything is running smoothly now. Thank you H-Kon . looking great and "feels Christmasy".

So sorry for all the problems, especially since it was me who requested the snow. Sad

Again a new theme.

I think we'll have a theme contest soon when i upgrade this forum to 2.0.  What do you say about that?

The short lived blue theme was  censored  a pain in the rear to modify so that it worked with all browsers. IE for some reason just refused to load the page correctly.

I have tested this theme in various browsers, but if you find anything that doesn't work, let me know.

I have also installed a lot more smileys, as the default set was.. well. kind of boring, so expressing one self should be a lot easier now.

New theme works with FF3.

The new set of smileys is better, the default set of smileys was rather  yawn

A theme contest? As in people make a theme?

Just that we find some candidates and have a poll about which one we'll use Smiley  I couldn't code my way out of a paper bag Grin

Doc sent me a few screenshots from his end about things not working properly with IE. I haven't tested Opera 10, but 9 did work with this theme.

Safari and Chrome works great too.

Ugh. every time people come here, there is a new theme it seems  hang

I am viewing and posting this message in the forums with IE7 at the moment. I can't see any issues. I will try and get a screen shot to you in the next few days. Going away for the weekend.
