In 30 minutes, we will start to decorate the place where the party will be and make sure that we haven't missed anything. Yesterday was cleaning day until 2 AM.

Its a drizzle outside. Just temps in the high 50's.

Congrats my friend! Hope your day goes well and you enjoy yourself. Today will surely be a "landmark" day and one you'll never forget. Take it all in with big smile and remember this: A wise lady once told me to "always make a point to tell your wife you love here" and if she makes you "happy", besure to tell her that too!

Thanks Elf, but I am just a little ripple in this stream. You all are the "Rocks".

A little update to say that i am still alive.

Our wedding was fantastic. No hiccups at all which i will post about as soon as i get home. Our honeymoon in Thailand has also been fantastic so far. I cannot really stress how fantastic Thailand is. The food is great, the weather has been great and the beaches.. Oh the beaches.  I feel like a new person to be honest, and i think Jette feels the same way.

We have taken over 800 pictures so far and i might need to get another compact flash card before we go home on Friday so i'll make a gallery of those when i get home.

I think we found our favorite place in the world to go to. If you got the chance. Go!
Lots of Australians and Canucks here too!

I'll be posting on the coming Saturday Smiley

Good to hear that you and Jette are still alive.

It's also good that the wedding and honeymoon has been fantastic. So many things can go wrong.

I fell sick on my honeymoon for a couple of days and my honeymoon was for a week.

Looking forward to reading more. Smiley

I too am so glad that everything went well and that your vacation has been so rewarding.
You certainly were due. looking forward to more info and photos.

For me, August has been pretty much a very bad month. However, we are off to our Ontario property
today for a week of camping, R&R. Things are looking better and my new puppy keeps me hopping
and takes my mind of happenings of the past month.
Have a great weekend everyone  Smiley

We're back home now. Our trip going back was pretty eventful to say the least so we did not do much yesterday except for getting a bite to eat and take a shower. It took us 25 hours to get home so we are trying to get some energy after that.

There were/are demonstrations going on in "Phuket" where we went. The whole country had grinded to a halt and the mob had blocked every local airport down there, including ours. Our flight was scheduled for 16:20 local time and the airport closed at 16:00 due to the demonstrations.

We had to carry our bags the last 1000 yards/meters as the road was blocked by the protesters. They want their current prime minister outted. I talked to some of them while walking towards the airport, and it was weird as they all said they were very sorry about the events going on stressing that they love their tourists and stressing a lot of times that under no circumstances would any tourists be unsafe. They even helped carry our luggage towards the airport.  When we finally got there, the entrance was also blocked so the military helped us climb the fence by having us climb them personally and helping us and the luggage over the big pointy fence.
The airport officials then hurried us on the plane. I think the boarding time took us 5 minutes at the most. Taxing out, the captain of the plane stopped on the runway and informed us that the protesters demanded that we return to the terminal, or else we'll wreak havoc on the airport.  The captain then declared emergency and bolted from the airport. He is probably getting a medal for that last i heard. So we were the last people out of Phuket Aiport. Had we originally booked the 20:00 flight out as planned, we would still have been there.

Later we found out that since we left, the protesters had broken into the airport and camped the runway and destroying one of the terminals inside the airport (domestic terminal).

118 people never made it on the plane. They are still down there waiting to get home as they also blocked the way over the fence at 16:00.

Our plane home was scheduled for 01:10 in the morning so we had to wait for 7 hours in Bangkok which went by pretty fast, but the 11 hour flight to Stockholm, then two hour wait there before our 1 hour flight from Stockholm to Oslo was pretty tough though so we're pretty beat.

Here is the local news about the events:

I am looking at gallery options now so that i can post some images from our honeymoon. At last count we had almost 700 pictures taken and some short movies from our little digital camera. I will start looking at that later tonight Smiley when i am finished preparing for a job interview that will take place on Tuesday Smiley

I suggest using "Gallery lite" as it will integrate quite nicely with your site (better than Coppermine). Here's a  screen shot of my gaming sites gallery.  ;D

Glad to hear you are back in Norway. I was wondering if you made it out of Thailand before the airport was shut down. Seeing the footage on the news here, it didn't look good.

We had watched the nastiness on the news, and hoped you were not near.
Really glad you got out and home safely. So sorry your wonderful vacation
had to end on a sour note. Shocked looking forward to pictures Smiley

Thanks for the gallery suggestions Teal Smiley I'll get a look at it this weekend.  It's been a very busy week with job interviews and applying for work. I actually did get one job, but turned it down since it was only a 3 month commitment. Going to setup a wifi connection up the road today before getting to work on the gallery.

I am also in a pretty creative mood these days so there might be a new clip being posted this weekend Smiley

Wow! great shots. Thanks. You both look very smashing. looks like a really fun time and the dessert table looks mouth watering. yum.  Smiley

p.s.  IMHO, the photo album is worthy of having it's own thread.
Also, easier for everyone to find.  Smiley
