Have been Christmas decorating for a week or so. Tongue I definately have too much "stuff". Takes forever to get it all in place. I think I need an eggnog
spiced with a little somethin', somethin'.  Wink Wink

We only one box with christmas stuff, so it's one of the things we hope we'll get for christmas.
A new big low price center is opening on thursday, so i guess we will get some stuff there as well.

One foot of snow here now and it's just perfect outside.

Could use a cup of "gløgg" now Smiley

We still haven't decorated too much yet, just the essentials are up now. Some table cloths, some santas, the obligatory advent lights in the windows.

The tree hasn't been chopped yet, but we'll be sure to include some pictures when we get there Smiley

I have decorated our Living room tree. Got a new one this year. It is artificial and is 71/2 ' tall.
Has 800 lights on it. I love decorating at Christmas time. My husband once told a friend, "if you stand still
in our house at christmas time, longer than ten minutes, my wife will decorate you.  ;D

While I was at lunch yesterday, with a friend, my puppy chewed the zippers on my new boots and totally
trashed my Victorian, angel doll at the bottom right of the tree  Sad
I guess that's life with a puppy.  Roll Eyes

Here are a few more of my decorations.
The tree and Santa are some of the pieces I did when I took Ceramic classe many years ago.
The reindeer on the wall is a cross stitch piece I did recently.

These reindeer were such fun and so easy to make. The legs and head are wooden spoons glued to a
little piece of wood then stained and decorated. unfortunately the reds are a little washed out in this photo.

please do post. I love and appreciate everyones tree and decorations at christmas and the efforts put forth.
keep in mind also, that I am (ahem) somewhat older than you, so have had much more time to make and collect a ton
of things. I actually am starting to give away things as i really have too much. am realizing that "less is more", in some
cases.  Smiley

I was thinking about the 800 lights on your tree. Do you install those every christmas, or are they already installed when you start decorating?

I think we use 24 lights on our tree, but they're a bit bigger. I have to check with Jeanette to see if the amount is right.

This year we're going for a small tree since no one will be coming to visit this christmas.

This year, since I have a new tree, the lights are permantely attached. Other years, I put them on myself.
usually close to 800. The friend I had lunch with on friday, has a 6' tree and about 24 lights and very pale blue ribbon going round and round and abput 24 different ornaments .( winter theme) and that's it. Very nice. I am definately going to re-think my Christmas decorating.
