Well, today was a nice day outside. Sunshine and about -9 Celsius when i took these pictures as i was going to Sweden for a little christmas gift shopping. Most of these pictures are just a few hundred meters from where i live, while the ones from the lake is about 15 minutes by car away.

I was going to take some more pictures, but now i remember why we bought a new one. The old eats batteries like there is no tomorrow so it died after taking that last shot, about 20 minutes into the trip.

I will bring the other one next time Smiley

If you are using Firefox, just right click the image and select "view image" to get the full version as they are a bit wider.

Great pictures H-Kon. These shots really look like they could have been taken in Canada.  Smiley

My favourite shots are numbers 7 & 10

what are the evergreens?  They look like cedar and spruce mostly?

I think they're spruce. The smaller ones are uses as christmas trees here in some parts.

It has been raining today, so the snow is gone from all the trees that i can see. :-/  Good thing i took the pictures yesterday.

I think spruce makes the very best "real" Christmas tree.  The smell is wonderful also.

I would settle for the rain, right now. It was -27c here this morning and we are having trouble with the heating
system. The hot water from the boilers in the greenhouse is loosing 20 degrees between there and the house
for some reason.  ??? As I sit here bundled up, I am not a happy camper. Hate to be cold.!!!! Sad Hopefully mrfixit
will find the problem soon. Shiver, shiver.  Smiley

Sounds good to me.  Cool  We are still working on the heating.

H-Kon, I see twin chimneys on some of the houses, are there lots of fireplaces as well as central heat ?
Most places here do not have fireplaces. We have one in the r.r. but only use it on rare occasions. like
Christmas or when the hydro is off or the hot water heat goes amuck.

Winter has just started here, and it's rare that the first snow stays. Its -6c at the moment, forecast of -15c tomorrow and some snow late next week. I'll take some new pictures when i am having problems shuffling snow around Smiley

Those with two chimneys are actually two households, but most houses, if not all has a chimney. Houses from the 70's are all electrical usually since electricity was basically free here at one point. Not so now.
Our little fireplace is working every day to keep this house warm which is needed since we're lacking insulation beneath every single window here which we will try to fix when spring comes.
